AFSA Legislative Platform Survey

By Kecia King | January 23, 2011

Attached is a copy of the 2010-2011 AFSA Legislative Platform…please
review it at your leisure…

2010-2011 AFSA LEGISLATIVE PLATFORM

Last meeting there was a discussion about surveying special interest items
that are not currently covered in the 2010/2011 Platform, please forward me
any of those concerns that you may have, as I can channel those
questions/concerns (i.e. work related, spousal employment, retiree benefits
not under current platform) to the AFSA lobbying foot stoppers…

I’m in the process of trying to add a survey or comment box to the Osan AFSA
website…in the meantime, please forward all LEG
questions/concerns/comments directly to me…thanks

Additional Notes:

Tricare coverage for Military veterans is a Promise Kept and not a social
program that can be played with.  It constitutes a very small percentage of
the budget.

I encourage you to click on the link in the article and voice your opinion
to Secretary Gates and your legislators.  I would further encourage you to
forward this article to all Military retirees you know.  It only takes a
couple minutes, thanks.

http://www.military.com/news/article/pentagon-pushes-for-tricare-fee-increases.html

There is a link embedded in the story that enables them to draft a letter to
their Congressmen to let them know how you feel about the proposed TRICARE
increases.
