Chapter 161 is the Hanscom AFB Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA) Chapter.

AFSA is the only Air Force enlisted organization dedicated to the people behind the stripes. Each year, Congress and the Department of Defense make hundreds of decisions on issues that directly affect the lives of enlisted people and their families.  These important issues include medical care, job security, pay, commissary privileges, education benefits, et al.

 

2012 AFSA Executive Council

I want to thank everyone who came out and supported our AFSA elections in December. We elected 6 positions to get our 2012 AFSA chapter started. We look forward to supporting our local community, AFA, PEA, Hanscom Top 3, professional development of our Airmen, and the purpose AFSA exists-supporting Enlisted Airmen on Legislative matters. The Programs position is still open. The rest of the positions listed as “to be determined” are appointed by the council and nominations are open for consideration until February 1st, 2010. We have volunteers for most of these positions, but I want to extend the opportunity for anyone that was unable to make it to the meeting.
