From there you complete the following

  1. Click on “add new” under the posts section
  2. Then click the square box by the “add media” section
  3. Then select your document to upload
  4. Next, you will need to copy/paste the URL that it creates for your document.
  5. You can close out when your are done as long as you have copied the link.
  6. You do not have to create a new post just to upload a document.

  1. Log in.
  2. Go to “Dashboard.”
  3. Click on the “Manage” tab.
  4. Click on the “Categories” tab.
  5. Click on the “(add new)” link next to “Categories” or fill in the new category information at the bottom of the page.

It looks easy to setup your categories, and it is.  The problem is that you will create a category but it won’t show up on your page.  The only way to have your categories show up on your page is to have the “categories” widget on the sidebar.  AND you must create a post and check the category box that you created then click publish.  This will show your category.

How do you add the “category” widget to your sidebar?

First login then click “appearance”  Then click on the “widgets” then look for the “categories” box and drag/add it to the sidebar.  Done!

Tips & Warnings
Deleting a category does not delete the posts and links in that category. Instead, posts in the deleted category are set to the category “Uncategorized” and links are set to “Blogroll.”

How do I add photos to my post?

First you have to start with a post to begin with.  Login to your site, click on the Posts link on the left sidebar, then click Add new.  This will bring up a new page for you to start typing articles. 

Now to insert the photo

Click on the Square Icon on top of the toolbar.

A box will pop open for you to choose your photo, you will need to browse to the file on your computer then click upload and finally select “insert into post” button and you will see it show up.

When you are done writing your post and inserting your images remember to click the “PUBLISH” button on the right hand side of your screen.

  1. Login
  2. Click on the Appearance link on the left sidebar (toward the bottom left on the menu.
  3. The Appearance menu will drop down extra options.  You must select Themes to view the available layouts for your site. 
  4. Click the template/layout that you want to be displayed on your homepage and click Activate.

When you have choosen your new layout you can head to your site page to view the changes.  You can change your theme/layout as often as you’d like.
